RESEARCH

In addition to its focus on the pedagogies of Design Futures Literacies, the FUEL4DESIGN project also carries out related research.

This website provides some of the material, uses and content of that pedagogy; research publications supplement this with action research types studies of Design Futures Literacies in context.

Our research relates to the specific Intellectual Outputs (IOs) or Modules of the project and their respective events in the form of teacher and students training and capacity building.

Our Advisory Board assists with matters on design futures education; its members also discuss and advise on the content and direction of the project, conceptually and analytically.

Our research is transdisciplinary in character and practice. It may refer to a specific IO but it may equally address the joint concerns of transposing, transcending and transforming design futures education by knitting and knotting different disciplinary knowledge and expertise. We see this as a mode of building a transversive design pedagogical discourse of design futures literacies.
