DESIGN FUTURES LEXICON
Words and design’s futures
One of the main challenges facing design education and its future-facing needs is to access a shared vocabulary. There is also a need for this vocabulary that grows over time with contributions from participants to design education.
This DESIGN FUTURES LEXICON addresses these matters by way of the shared development and cumulative gathering of inputs from design students, teachers and researchers from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design and FUEL4DESIGN project partner institutions.
This LEXICON builds a bottom-up vocabulary based in projects and connected to readings and students’ seminars, workshops and studios. It is located in existing design pedagogies but reaches beyond it into shaping DESIGN FUTURES LITERACIES in and through use. The UNITS are filled with design language learning activities and the RENDERS with FUTURES DESIGN devices and cases.

Future Education and Literacy for Designers (FUEL4Design) is an open project.
